Cotton candy sweet, Somerset grapes are our favourites – red clusters of almost seedless 3/4 inch berries, great for eating fresh. Dark blue Frontenac is more of a wine, juice or jelly grape.
I have a lot of respect for grape plants – they are definitely survivors, and come back even after harshest winters. Their leaves open up pink in the spring in a delightful celebration of new season.
